Parmetol® A 28 S distributed by DKSH is an in-can preservative. It is a water-based combination of chloromethyl-/methylisothiazolone (CMIT/MIT) and bronopol. It has a reduced risk of contact allergy at normal use concentration. It is suitable for a broad range of water-based products.
- It shows enhanced efficacy especially against Pseudomonas sp.
- It is free of VOC, organic solvents and N-/O-formals.
- It is used in dispersion paints, textured coatings and plasters.
- It contains only biodegradable components and is fully effective in cationic, anionic and non-ionic systems.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.10-0.20% and pH range is 3-8.5.
- Parmetol® A 28 S has a shelf life of 24 months and is available in Australia, Cambodia, New Zealand, Philippines, Spain and Thailand.
