Esacure 1001 M

Supplied byDKSH- Last Updated on Mar 29, 2026

Esacure 1001 M distributed by DKSH is a difunctional Type II photo initiator of the ketosulphone class. It is used to initiate radical polymerization of unsaturated oligomers e.g. acrylates after UV exposure.
  • It is particularly suitable for pigmented systems, and its reactivity is influenced by co-initiators that help overcome oxygen inhibition.
  • Its molecular structure ensures low migration and low extraction values.
  • It is suitable for sensitive applications such as food packaging, and its performance can be enhanced with small amounts of isopropylthioxanthone (Omnirad ITX).
  • It is used in printing inks including offset, flexo, screen, and ink-jet inks, acrylic clear varnishes in thin and thick layers, and food packaging.
  • It is compatible with most common organic solvents, monomers, and oligomers for UV applications.
  • Recommended dosage level is 2-5% by weight depending on system composition, thickness, and desired cure speed.
  • Esacure 1001 M has a shelf life of 24 months.
  • It is available in APAC region (Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, France).
