Epotec® RD 108G distributed by DKSH is mono-glycidyl ether of C12-C14 fatty alcohol, primarily used as a reactive diluent for high viscosity epoxy resins. It is compatible in all concentrations with epoxy resin and those resins blends can be cured with variety of epoxy hardeners.
- As with other mono-functional aliphatic reactive diluents, increasing the level of Epotec® RD 108G in the epoxy resin blend will extend pot life and alter the properties of the cured resin.
- Since Epotec® RD 108G is aliphatic, it offers the added benefit of superior non-yellowing characteristics compared to aromatic mono-functional reactive diluents.
- Additionally, it demonstrates excellent wetting properties and has a low odor.
- It is used in metal and concrete primers and coatings.
- It has a shelf life of 2 years.
- It is available in Canada.
