Deuteron® MM 684

Supplied byDeuteron- Last Updated on Jan 27, 2025

Combination of organic and inorganic materials. Acts as a matting agent. Apart from the high matting effect, special importance is also attached to a low binder requirement so that the flow properties of the matted system are not affected considerably. This leads to a good formulation margin in the processing. Is resistant to aggressive industrial atmosphere. Does not contain any wax additives, thus coating layers equipped with it are not expected to cause any adhesion problems in multi-layer systems or repair coatings. The matting effect induced with DEUTERON MM 684 is highly resistant to mechanical influences ("polishing" or abrasion). Suits for all common coil-coating systems. This includes its utilization in conventional high-quality stove enamels. Can be used in a variety of applications, preferably in pigmented paints and lacquers. Dosage: As a non-binding guiding value, a concentration of 3 % (referring to the total formulation) is recommended. Depending on the desired matting effect and the coating system, concen-trations between 1 % and 8 % can be used.
