Deuteron® SO 300

Deuteron® SO 300 by Deuteron is a soft touch and matting agent. It is a liquid preparation of fine elastomer particles in water. It eliminates the need for special soft and elastic resins as it works with almost any given system. It improves performance in soft-touch effects independent on the used binders. It provides good recoatability, excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, anti-blocking and flexibilization. It is temperature stable upto 160°C.

It can be used in all water-based coating and ink systems.

It is possible to combine it with common surface additives such as waxes or other matting agents to impart soft touch with minimal impact on the overall system performance.

It is possible to crosslink the particles using isocyanates because of the hydroxyl content of the elastomer particles, ensuring a good particle embedding and leads to significantly improved mechanical stability but slightly reduced soft touch.

Deuteron® SO 300 has a required dosage level of 1.0-5.0% depending on the system and the desired curing speed.

It has a shelf-life of 12 months.

Deuteron® AP 348

Deuteron® AP 348 by Deuteron is a non-polar polyethylene wax. Has low viscosity of the fusion and good toughness in spite of the high hardness. Surfaces of powder coatings show a remarkable slip resistance. In some cases it has been noticed that the powder coatings improves their flow. This depends on the low softening respective melting point of this polyethylene wax and its limited compatibility with the used resins. Also reduces the gloss of the powder coatings. This results partly from incompatibility which is a typical property of waxes or similar compounds. Depending on the individual case the reduction in gloss can be an advantage or disadvantage. Deuteron® AP 348 dosage level should be between 0.5-1.0%.

Deuteron® -Wax PP

Deuteron® -Wax PP by Deuteron is a micronized polypropylene wax. Shows an evident resistance to settlement. Additionally it retards the settling of pigments as well as fillers and assists in their redispersion. Imparts very good buff resistance and slip properties. If used either alone or with silica, it produces a durable semi-gloss finish. Can be used in all solvent-based lacquer systems, printing inks as well air-drying and stoving. Deuteron® -Wax PP is also used in powder coatings. Dosage: 0.5 - 5.0 % (on coating system) depending upon binder, appli-cation and properties which are required.
