Maxemul™ 6112 by Croda is an emulsifier. It is an anionic, co-polymerizable surfactant designed for use as a stabilizer in latex binders typically used in water-borne wall paints, wood & metal protection coatings. It is reactive towards vinylic unsaturated monomers. It enhances the colloidal stability of the latex and improves dry film with high water repellency & superior barrier properties. It shows effectiveness during particle nucleation and the growth stage. It is suitable in pigmented films with improved pigment binding properties. Maxemul™ 6112 is compatible with acrylic, vinylic and UV polymeric systems. It is used in inks, industrial-, decorative- and elastomeric roof coatings.
