Maxemul™ 5011

Maxemul™ 5011 by Croda is an alkenyl functional non-ionic surfactant. Used in the production of waterborne polymer dispersions for protective paints and coatings and paper coatings. Provides improved resistance to flocculation, very good colloidal stability, protection from water, improved aesthetic properties, higher gloss and less tendency to whiten in humid conditions. Offers improved shear stability, very good freeze-thaw properties, improved rheology during formulation, and very good solvent resistance. Gives a reduction of coalescing solvent during film formation, no surfactant exudation over time, reduced water uptake, reduced blooming and superior water spot resistance in the film. Imparts efficient particle size control. Maxemul™ 5011 allows the formulation of anionically stabilized latices.
