Ceridust® 8170 M by Clariant is a PFAS/PTFE-free, universal structuring- and texturing agent for architectural powder coatings. It is a modified polyethylene (PE) wax. It is used to create matting and fine textures. It improves spraying behavior, with no influence on mechanical properties.
- Compared to PTFE-containing products, it minimizes extruder energy take up by 10%, depending on dosage.
- It is suitable for window frames, fence surfaces, furniture and bicycle rims.
- It delivers excellent performance in both dark & light colors, with no extrudate swelling and the ability to control gloss.
- Recommended dosage level is 4-6% for light colors and 5-8% for dark colors.
- It complies with the European Union’s REACH legislation.
- Ceridust® 8170 M has a shelf life of 2 years.
