Chartsil C-505.1/ 2H

Chartsil C-505.1/ 2H by Chartwell International is a high concentration mercapto functional metal organic adhesion promoter. It is a dry free flowing solid and is absorbed upon a high surface area precipitated silica carrier. The product physically breaks down upon compounding to release the active mercapto functional adhesion promoter. It is useful in powder coatings, where it is particularly useful for enhancing adhesion of epoxy as well as urethane powder coatings to many metal substrates (CRS, aluminium, brass, etc.) where liquid additives cannot easily be handled. It is used in improving salt fog, blistering resistance and reducing creep at the scribe. Chartsil C-505.1/ 2H recommended level for powder coatings is 0.6 - 1.2 phr (parts per hundred resin).
