ENOVA™ Aerogel IC 3120 by Cabot is an ultimate insulative coatings additive. It delivers a smooth, even coat due to its thermal conductivity half that of still air. Offers ultra low thermal conductivity, insulation performance not impacted by shear and broad particle size distribution for high packing factor. When used as a post-additive for matting in the paint manufacturing process, Enova™ Aerogel IC 3120 enables chemical/water resistance, corrosion resistance/weatherability, film clarity, mechanical properties, sedimentation, thickening and other effects on rheology. Provides complete hydrophobicity, high single pass DFT and safe touch performance. It enables the lowest thermal conductivity possible in insulative coatings.
