RHEOBYK® -7650 by BYK is a solid, non-dusting, biocide-, VOC-, APEO-, and tin-free associative thickener (HEUR) for aqueous systems that generates a slightly pseudoplastic flow behavior. It increases the viscosity in the low to medium shear range with an extremely low impact in the high shear range.
- It optimizes the storage stability and offers an excellent balance between flowability and sag resistance.
- It provides excellent processability when combined with RHEOBYK®-7690.
- It is preferably used in emulsion paints and coatings that are based on acrylate, styrene acrylate, polyvinyl acetate binders, as well as in PU and alkyd emulsions and epoxy dispersions.
- It has no negative effect on gloss or color acceptance.
- It is suitable for architectural coatings, wood & furniture coatings, industrial coatings, marine-, protective coatings and floor coatings.
- Recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.3% based on the total formulation.
- RHEOBYK® -7650 has a shelf life of 36 months.
