DISPERBYK® -190 BF

DISPERBYK® -190 BF by BYK is a VOC- and solvent-free wetting and dispersing agent for aqueous systems. It is a biocide-free solution of a high molecular weight block copolymer with pigment-affinic groups. It deflocculates and stabilizes pigments thus prevents flooding and floating in pigment blends. It imparts increased gloss, color strength, transparency or hiding power, and reduced viscosity. DISPERBYK® -190 BF improves flow properties and allows higher pigment loading. It is designed for general industrial-, automotive-, architectural-, coil-, wood- and furniture coatings. It is also used for marine and corrosion protection coatings, leather coatings, can coatings, resin-free pigment concentrates and printing inks. Its recommended dosage level for use in coatings are 20-30% for inorganic pigment, 10-12% for titanium dioxide, 30-75% for organic pigment and 130-150% for carbon black. Its addition level for use in printing inks are 10-12% for titanium dioxide, 15-50% for organic pigments and carbon black. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
