CERAFLOUR® 991 by BYK is a micronized polyethylene wax based surface additive. It offers improved surface slip, and good anti-blocking properties. It provides improved rub and scratch resistance. It possesses improved soft feel effect and reduced gloss. It exhibits water-repellent properties. CERAFLOUR® 991 is designed for matting powder coatings, solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings and printing inks. It is suitable for food contact coatings and printing inks. Its recommended dosage level for coatings is 0.3-0.5%, for printing inks is 1-5% and for powder coatings is 0.5-2%. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
