BYK® -018 by BYK is a VOC-free, silicone-based defoamer. It offers high shear forces and highly effective against microfoam. It is used in exterior wall paints, plastic coatings, wood/parquet varnishes and pigment concentrates and printing inks. BYK® -018 is especially designed for aqueous pigmented high gloss emulsion systems based on styrene/ acrylate, acrylate or acrylate/ polyurethane combinations with a low PVC. It is suitable for food contact printing inks. Its recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.8% based upon total formulation. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
