Octa-Soligen® Barium 12.5 by Borchers (Milliken) is a barium-based drier. It enhances gloss and prevents the primary driers from being adsorbed onto pigment and extender surfaces, thereby improving the coating’s stability during long-term storage.
- It offers good pigment wetting properties and promotes through-drying.
- Octa-Soligen® Barium 12.5 is used for solvent-based systems based on alkyds and epoxy esters that dry by oxidation.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.5% based on solid binder content.
