Borchers® Dry 4012 aqua US by Borchers (Milliken) is an APEO-free, zirconium secondary drier designed for both water- and solvent-based systems.
- It is commonly used in combination with surface driers such as cobalt, manganese, and Borchi® OXY-Coat to enhance through-drying performance in oxidatively cured coatings.
- It promotes through the formation of coordination bonds with hydroxyl and carboxyl functional groups present.
- Compared with other secondary driers, zirconium-based driers offer superior color retention, reduced yellowing, and enhanced formulation stability.
- Borchers® Dry 4012 aqua US is used in oxidatively cured systems such as architectural paints, industrial coatings, and stains.
