Borchers® Deca Potassium 12 by Borchers (Milliken) is a versatile additive used as a primary catalyst for rigid urethane foams.
  • It is an accelerator in unsaturated polyester systems, and a pot life stabilizer for two-component polyurethane (PUR) formulations.
  • It works synergistically with cobalt to enhance curing and accelerate the polymerization process while also reducing the discoloration often associated with cobalt-containing systems.
  • It acts as an effective primary trimerization catalyst, helps in the production of rigid urethane foams, promoting efficient foam formation and curing.
  • It stabilizes the rheological properties and extend the pot life of waterborne two-component PUR systems.
  • Borchers® Deca Potassium 12 is suitable for use in both solvent-containing and water-based formulations.
  • The approximate dosage is 0.2-1.0%, relative to total formulation.
