12% Iron Hex-Cem® by Borchers (Milliken) is an iron-based primary drier. It acts as an adhesion promoter in anti-corrosion coating applications. It contributes to rapid surface drying and enhanced through-drying, with maximum effectiveness at temperatures greater than 150°C.
- 12% Iron Hex-Cem® is suitable for oxidatively drying coatings, including oil-based baking systems for cans and dark-colored baking systems.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.01–0.05% metal based on vehicle solids of the coating.
