Tinuvin® 9945-DW ECO by BASF is an aqueous preparation of a non-basic HALS for coatings. It is designed to meet medium to high performance and durability requirements for exterior coatings. It protects coatings from gloss reduction, cracking, and chalking, improves the retention of mechanical properties.
- It provides good long-term performance and thermal stability without interacting with acidic paint ingredients such as catalysts or surfactants.
- It is non-migrating and preserves dry-film properties such as inherent color, transparency, and gloss without affecting water sensitivity, blocking resistance, hardness, or scratch resistance.
- It disperses easily in a wide range of water-based systems without high shear, co-solvents, or dispersing aids, shows no settling during storage, and contains no EUH 208 label, MIT, or zinc pyrithione.
- It is suitable for high-performance industrial and decorative coatings, high-performance wood stains and wood coatings, waxes and wood-care products, and architectural coatings.
- It is also recommended for overprint varnishes on metal, board, paper, and laminates, glass and ceramic coatings, and water-based UV-curable systems.
- Tinuvin® 9945-DW ECO has a shelf life of 18 months.
