Protectol® DA S by BASF is 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol. Used for in-can preservation of water-based paints, for prevention of bulk spoilage during shelf-life and as an effective antifungal. Recommended dosage level ranges from 0.06% for oral administration to 0.5% for skin disinfection. Protectol® DA S offers good temperature stability with wide pH tolerance.
