Alcophor® AC by BASF is a mixture of modified compounds containing tannin. Acts as a corrosion inhibitor in primers and one-coat paints. It eliminates the residual moisture from the paint by capillary effect. Suitable for use in anti-corrosive paints based on binders drying by oxidation such as epoxy esters, alkyd resins of any kind, linseed -stand oil. Alcophor® AC is used for corrosion primers, paints for agricultural machinery and car-body paints. It has a shelf life of 2 years. Complies with AICS, DSL, PICCS and TSCA.
