EXOCOAT™ ACX-W

EXOCOAT™ ACX-W by Axcentive is a water dilutable nanoparticle modified anticorrosive conversion coating wherein it covalently bonds to the surface through nanoparticles. It is applied directly to metals (iron alloy, galvanized steel, phosphate steel, stainless steel and aluminium). It converts metal hydroxide surface into a stable, inert covalently bound monolayer. It is used as replacement for chromium-based primers on aluminium and other metals. It can be used as conversion primer as part of a coating system based on an epoxy coating and polyurethane topcoat. It may omit the use of toxic chemicals and functions as replacement for Cr3+ and Cr6+ based systems used in metal plating and aerospace industries. EXOCOAT™ ACX-W is applied with conventional low pressure and high pressure airless and air-mix spraying, dipping, rolling and brushing. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
