NECOWEL 4300 by ASK Chemicals is a cosolvent-free, cation-modified alkyd emulsion with medium oil length neutralized with ammonia. Does not contain APEO (alkylphenol ethoxylates), VOC (volatile organic compound), plasticizer, solvents or residual monomers. Exhibits a neutral pH-value though the best properties can be reached at a pH-value of 6.5. Offers excellent stain blocking properties against water soluble substrate contaminations like nicotine, tobacco condensate, markers and wood ingredients. Most of these water soluble colorants are anionic and are fixed at the cationic counterpart in the resin. Shows good compatibility with additives and different kinds of pigments & fillers. Also offers excellent wetting and application properties. NECOWEL 4300 is suitable for formulating wall paints/ primers and tannin blocking wood impregnation.
