ASCONIUM® 500 by ASCOTEC is a VOC-free, organic, liquid-type and long-term anti-corrosion additive. It is optimized for water-based direct to metal coatings. It offers adhesion promotion, better gloss retention, fewer labelling requirements and improved performance for both salt spray and anti-blistering. It can be used at low dosage and is suitable for use in solvent-based systems.
- It can be added at any time during manufacture, even post-addition without loss of performance.
- It is compatible in water-based acrylic resins, alkyd polymers and epoxy resins.
- ASCONIUM® 500 has upto C5 corrosion class performance depending on the binder and formulation.
