AQUAREZ PVB DP548-47XL by Aquaspersions is a low viscosity, water-based emulsion of a cross-linkable polyvinyl butyral. It is recommended for use as sole or co-binder in heat-curable coatings. The film forms at ambient temperature to produce a clear, tough and durable coating on glass and metals. It provides non-ionic stabilization and consists of texanol as a coalescent. It is initiated when films are cured at temperatures >120°C for a minimum of 30 minutes. It free from plasticizer and APEO surfactants. The cured coatings demonstrate good adhesion to metals, glass, plastics and glass-fiber. It is designed for WB 1-component PU coating formulations. It offers water-, heat-, scratch- and solvent resistance. AQUAREZ PVB DP548-47XL is applicable in coatings used as direct to metal primers, stoving enamels, wire and can coatings.
