
UCECOAT® 2804 by allnex is a high performance, UV/EB energy curable polyurethane dispersion for digital printing. It is a low viscosity, low/zero VOC, solvent-, tin-, BPA- and APEO-free grade suitable for indirect food contact applications. Its polymer composition is optimized for high reactivity and low migration potential. It is used as a binder for water-based overprint varnishes, inkjet- and flexographic inks.
- It is tack-free and water re-dispersible after water evaporation but before cure.
- The low grits content allows easy product filterability and good colloidal stability.
- It offers excellent adhesion, faster cycle time, long potlife, low temperature curing and lower energy consumption.
- UCECOAT® 2804 can be applied by flexography & gravure printing techniques as well as conventional spray, screen, curtain and immersion coating methods.
- It is used to coat paper and paperboard, corrugated sheets as well as several plastic substrates including corona-treated polyethylene and polypropylene.
- The cured coating is hard and shows outstanding mechanical and chemical resistance in clear or pigmented applications.
- It is recommended for coatings for plastics & wood and clear coating on PVC floorings.
