Afcona -3775 by Afcona Additives is a special acrylic polymer that acts as a levelling agent with very high defoaming effect for solvent-based coatings. Is recommended as non-silicone levelling agent where silicone is not permitted due to intercoat adhesion problem. Next to the fast initial levelling it also improve the last stage levelling (before the coating become not flowable anymore). Prevents the foam formation. Also acts as deareator and defoamer. Does not interfere with intercoat adhesion. Used in can coatings, coil coatings, 2 pack PU coatings and epoxies, all baking paints, matt finished wood coatings. Afcona -3775 is not suitable for unpigmented high gloss systems, because due to the high defoaming effect, it will give in-can haziness. Addition and dosage: 0.5 – 2.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.5 – 1.0% based on total formulation.
