SURFADOL® 541 by ACME is a non-ionic dynamic wetting agent and molecular defoamer. It is silicone- & APEO-free and non-toxic grade. It provides unique combination of performance benefits such as surface tension reduction, foam control and viscosity stabilization. It can be used in many water-based applications due to its multi-functional properties. It offers quick migration, non-micelle forming properties and thermal & chemical stability over a broad range of conditions. It prevents surface defect problems such as fisheyes, crawling and cratering on low-energy substrates. Improves pigment grind efficiency and reduces water sensitivity & microfoam in spray-applied systems. It also lubricates, wets and prevents smut formation while eliminating hot spots in metalworking fluids. SURFADOL® 541 is recommended for use in printing inks, overprint varnishes, flexographic and inkjets. It is also used in automotive OEM & cathodic electrophoretic paints, industrial-, wood- & PTFE coatings and electroplating solutions. The suggested use level is 0.1-1.5% of total formulation weight. The shelf life of the grade is 48 months from the date of manufacture. It complies with REACH, FDA 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300 and China GB 9685-2016.
