Polyester Resins for Coatings and Inks

EBECRYL® 436 by allnex is a reactive chlorinated polyester resin diluted 40% with the reactive diluent trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA). It exhibits good lithographic behavior, pigment wetting properties and fast cure response in ultraviolet light (UV) curable coatings and inks. Cured films of EBECRYL® 436 display good adhesion to metals, plastics and paper. It is recommended for wet lithographic inks for paper, plastics and metals, overprint varnishes and post-formable inks.

MARNEX™ AH448 by Macroocean is a high molecular weight, saturated linear polyester resin. It shows excellent adhesive strength to steel, aluminum foil, PET or PVC films. Also, better adhesion and film strength can be achieved while cross-linked with melamine or blocked isocyanate curing agents. This grade offers heat seal properties, flexibility, good processibility and no sticky problem during transportation. It can be dissolved in ketone, ether or esters type of solvents, such as isophorone, acetone, MEK, CYC, DBE & EA. And it is usually dissolved with aromatic solvents, such as 100# & 150#. MARNEX™ AH448 is recommended for interior can coating and screen printing & gravure inks. It complies with FDA 175.300 (only for non-alcoholic goods) and 175.105. The shelf life of this product is 24 months.

MARNEX™ AH651 by Macroocean is a high molecular weight, saturated linear polyester resin. It shows excellent adhesive strength to steel and PET or PVC films. It offers heat seal properties, excellent pigment wetting and heat resistance. Also, offers better flexibility and adhesion is available while using with low Tg types of resin, such as MARNEX™ AL171 and MARNEX™ AL072. It can be dissolved in ketone, ether or esters type of solvents, such as isophorone, acetone, MEK, CYC, DBE & EA. And it is usually dissolved with aromatic solvents, such as 100# & 150#. MARNEX™ AH651 is used in coil coatings and gravure & screen printing inks. It complies with FDA 175.300 (only for non-alcoholic goods) and 175.105. The shelf life of this product is 24 months.

CRYSMELT™ HS270 by Macroocean is a high molecular weight, saturated linear copolyester resin with highly crystalline structure. It possesses excellent solvent, chemical & temperature resistance and outstanding acid & base resistance. This grade offers high tensile strength & hardness, short opening time and high efficiency. It shows excellent adhesion to most plastic, metal and hard-to-adhere substrates. CRYSMELT™ HS270 is easy to apply for industrial application. It can be dissolved in CH₂Cl₂ and CHCl₃. It is used in interior can coating, weld seam sealing and thermoplastic powder coatings. It complies with FDA 175.300 and 175.105. The shelf life of this product is 24 months.

VYLON® 670 distributed by DKSH is a high molecular weight copolyester with low glass transition temperature. It is flame retardant and shows adhesion to PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and metal. It can be dissolved by general purpose organic solvents.

VYLON® GK-888 distributed by DKSH is a copolyester with high glass transition temperature. It has high molecular weight and excellent chemical resistance. It shows excellent adhesion to various substrates.

ADDITOL® P 950 by allnex is a tribo-active polyester masterbatch for use in hybrid, TGIC, polyurethane and TGIC alternative systems. ADDITOL® P 950 contains 5% active substance that greatly enhances the charging ability of powder coatings sprayed with a tribo powder spray gun. It is easily handled, greatly improves the dispersion of the additive and designed for indoor or outdoor use. Its shelf life is 24 months under normal storage conditions (=30°C).

CRYSMELT™ HS260 by Macroocean is a highly crystalline, saturated linear copolyester resin with high molecular weight. It shows excellent adhesion to most plastic, metal and hard-to-adhere substrates. This grade possesses excellent solvent, temperature & chemical resistance and outstanding acid & base resistance. CRYSMELT™ HS260 offers high tensile strength & hardness, short opening time and high efficiency. It is easy to apply for industrial application. It can be dissolved in CH₂Cl₂ and CHCl₃. Recommended for interior can & thermoplastic powder coatings and weld seam sealing applications. It complies with FDA 175.300 and 175.105. The shelf life of this product is 24 months.

ADDITOL® E 04654 by allnex is a saturated, semi-crystalline polyester resin. It offers excellent oil-migration resistance optimized for melting and homogenization processes along with low volatility and high heat resistance. ADDITOL® E 04654 is suitable as an additive for PVC and powder coatings. The shelf life of this resin is 24 months from the date of manufacturing.

MARCOA™ CH488 by Macroocean is a high molecular weight, saturated linear polyester resin. It is suitable to replace BPA based epoxy resins for BADGE-free formulations. It shows excellent adhesive strength to steel and aluminum. A mixed crosslinking agent with melamine, phenolic and block NCO is recommended. MARCOA™ CH488 offers high sterilization resistance and good flexibility. It can be dissolved in ketone, ether or esters type of solvents, such as isophorone, acetone, MEK, CYC, DBE and EA. And, it is usually dissolved with aromatic solvents, such as 100# & 150#. Recommended for interior can coating, three-piece cans, pilfer proof caps and drawn & irregular cans. It complies with FDA 175.300, also for alcoholic contents. The shelf life of this product is 24 months.
