TR-BENZOIN distributed by DKSH is a regular free radical photoinitiator. It is used for removing pinholes in powder coating. It can also be used for defoaming of powder coatings.

EBECRYL® 7100 by allnex is an acrylate-functional amine resin generally used as as a hydrogen donor or photo-activator. When used in formulations with a photoabstraction type photo-initiator (e.g. benzophenone), it has an accelerating effect on the UV cure speed. It is characterized by low viscosity, light color, improved stability and excellent pigment wetting. It offers lower residual odor, improved moisture resistance and high gloss. It also promotes adhesion to plastic substrates such as polyester, ABS, polycarbonate and polypropylene oxide. EBECRYL® 7100 is recommended for coatings for plastics, clear coatings for paper, overprint varnishes, screen ink vehicles, metal decorating inks, wood fillers and accelerating UV cure response.

Chemark® 1273 distributed by DKSH is a liquid-type non-yellowing photoinitiator. It provides good solvency proprieties making it ideal for making photoinitiator blends. It is used in coating on wood, metal and plastic as well as UV radiation curing systems.

• It is suitable for printing ink, overprint vanishes and wood lacquers.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.5-5% w/w.

Chemark® PI-4265 distributed by DKSH is a photoinitiator. It is made from a unique blend of advanced polymers and additives. It ensures superior adhesion, resistance and longevity.

Chemark® 1289DW distributed by DKSH is a photoinitiator for waterborne UV curing system. It exhibits favorable stability and compatibility with aqueous solution systems.

• A small amount of Chemark® 1289DW provides excellent curing effects on both white and colored screen printing inks and coating systems, while also offering excellent anti-yellowing properties.
• It can be applied to thick coating systems and daylight curing system.
• It is suitable for clear coatings on wood, metal, plastic, and paper, as well as pigmented coatings for these surfaces.
• Additionally, it is used in polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) and acrylic dispersions.

ADDITOL® BP by allnex is used as a radical photoinitiator in UV coatings, inks, and overprint varnishes on paper & plastic. In combination with amine co-initiators or alpha cleavage photoinitiators, it is used in formulations containing unsaturated materials such as acrylates, methacrylates, vinyls and unsaturated polyesters. With exposure to UV light, ADDITOL® BP undergoes a photochemical reaction that generates radicals. This grade is characterized by good solubility and excellent surface cure. The recommended usage level is 3-7% by weight based on the reactive components of the formulation. It is designed for use in wood top-coats.

EBECRYL® P115 by allnex is a copolymerizable amine-based hydrogen donor, or photoactivator in ultraviolet light (UV) curable coatings and inks. It can be used with EBECRYL® P39 (a polymeric benzophenone derivative) for formulations requiring low residual odor. When used in formulations in combination with a photosensitizer (e.g. benzophenone), it provides rapid UV cure response in air by mitigating the effects of oxygen inhibition at the coating or ink surface.

• It is characterized by very low viscosity, light color, improved stability vs. conventional tertiary amines and low volatility.
• It offers excellent UV cure response, reduced odor, no surface migration of amine, no reaction of amine with organic pigment and high gloss.
• It is used in overprint varnishes, screen & flexo inks, wood topcoats, clear coatings on paper & plastics and pigmented coatings.
• Formulations containing EBECRYL® P115 may be applied via direct or reverse roll, offset gravure, metering rod, slot die, knife over roll, air knife, curtain and immersion and spin coating methods, as well as flexographic and screen printing.
• Recommended dosage level is 5-15% based on total formulation, usually combined with 3-5% photosensitizer.

ADDITOL® HDMAP by allnex is a general purpose radical photoinitiator that can be used alone or in combination with other photoinitiators. It is used in formulations containing unsaturated materials such as acrylates, methacrylates, vinyls and unsaturated polyesters. With exposure to UV light, ADDITOL® HDMAP undergoes a photochemical reaction that generates radicals. These radicals will initiate polymerization through the unsaturated groups present in the system. It possesses low viscosity and good solvency. This grade is characterized by balanced surface, through cure and good shelf stability in UV curable formulated products. Applications include clear-coats for metal & plastics, wood top-coats, overprint varnishes, paper upgrading, inks and pigmented coatings. The recommended usage level is 1-5% by weight based on the reactive components of the formulation.

ADDITOL® DMMTA by allnex is a radical photoinitiator that can be used alone or in combination with other photo-initiators. It is used with unsaturated materials such as acrylates, methacrylates, vinyls and unsaturated polyesters. When exposed to UV light, a photochemical reaction occurs generating radicals which will initiate polymerization through the unsaturated groups present in the system. It exhibits good solubility and low volatility. This grade is characterized by good surface and through cure in UV curable formulated products. ADDITOL® DMMTA is suitable for the curing of pigmented coatings and inks. Suggested applications include flexographic-, offset- and screen inks. The recommended usage level is 2-4% by weight based on the reactive components of the formulation.
