Acrylate & Methacrylate Oligomers for Coatings and Inks

EBECRYL® 811 by allnex is a UV or EB curable polyester acrylate. Inks made using EBECRYL® 811 obtain excellent adhesion to calendered vinyl, polystyrene, polyolefins and PVC. It offers excellent water balance for printing on non-absorbent substrates along with very low misting. It is recommended for offset inks, specifically for printing credit cards and smart cards. It is also used for printing on plastic signage and banners as well as containers.

Photomer® 6630 distributed by DKSH is a di-functional aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer. It exhibits low color, good flexibility and high reactivity. It is recommended for inks and metal-, plastic- and wood coatings. It has a shelf life of 6 months. Photomer® 6630 is available in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and France.

EBECRYL® 3608 by allnex is a fatty acid modified epoxy acrylate oligomer diluted with 15% of oligotriacrylate (OTA 480). It is characterized by low odor, light color, low irritancy, excellent pigment wetting properties and good cure response when cured by exposure to ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB). EBECRYL® 3608 is recommended for lithographic and screen ink and coatings, overprint varnishes, coatings on cardboard, chipboard, paper, rigid plastics and paper upgrading. Cured films exhibit high surface hardness, good solvent resistance and low residual odor. The shelf life of the grade is 2 years.

Photomer® 6621 distributed by DKSH is tin-free, hexafunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer. It provides very fast cure performance, high hardness, cure speed, scratch-, abrasion-, and solvent resistance.

• It is recommended for use paper, wood and plastic coatings.
• It is suitable for overprint varnishes like offset, flexo, screen and gravure coatings.
• Photomer® 6621 has a shelf life of 6 months.
• It is available in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and France.

EBECRYL® 6203 by allnex is an aromatic urethane diacrylate oligomer diluted with 30% dipropylene glycol diacrylate (DPGDA) monomer. It is cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) and shows good flexibility, toughness, acceptable abrasion resistance, good adhesion to various substrates in combination with good solvent resistance. EBECRYL® 6203 is recommended for coatings on rigid & flexible plastics, wood-, conformal-, low gloss coatings and screen inks. The shelf life of the grade is 2 years.

EBECRYL® 5848 by allnex is a low-VOC epoxidized soya oil acrylate based in part on renewable resources. It is a BPA (Bisphenol A)- and solvent-free grade. It enhances adhesion and flexibility when used as a modifier in inks and clear or pigmented coatings on paper, wood and metal.

• It exhibits good compatibility, long pot-life, faster cycle time, low-temperature curing, lower energy consumption and low flammability.
• It provides moderate viscosity, improved flow & levelling, good surface appearance and good pigment- & substrate wetting in ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) energy curable inks & coatings.
• It offers high gloss potential, improved hardness and good hydrophilic-lipophilic balance for lithography.
• Formulated UV/EB curable products may be applied via direct or reverse roll, offset gravure, metering rod, slot die, knife over roll, air knife, curtain, immersion & spin coating methods and flexographic, lithographic and screen printing.
• EBECRYL® 5848 is recommended for overprint varnishes for paper, screen ink vehicles, metal decorating and protective coatings.

EBECRYL® 284 by allnex is an aliphatic urethane diacrylate oligomer diluted with 12% of 1,6 hexanediol diacrylate monomer. Films of this product cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB), exhibit excellent exterior durability, toughness, good flexibility as well as the non-yellowing properties typical of an aliphatic urethane. EBECRYL® 284 is recommended for use in coatings for plastic (like plasticized PVC), cork, metal, paper upgrading and pigmented coatings for wood and PVC floor covering.

Photomer® 6210 distributed by DKSH is a non-yellowing, aliphatic urethane diacrylate oligomer. It is developed for radiation-curable systems. Exhibits low odor, ease of handling, chemical-, scratch-, impact- and abrasion resistance.

• Provides good cure speed, excellent adhesion to various plastic and metal substrates and excellent light stability.
• Photomer® 6210 forms tough, durable films with good solvent resistance & flexibility and high surface hardness.
• Recommended for clear overprint varnishes where low application viscosities are required.
• The shelf life of this product is 12 months and is available in France, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

EBECRYL® 225 by allnex is a ten functional aliphatic urethane acrylate. After polymerization, films of EBECRYL® 225 exhibit outstanding surface hardness, outstanding scratch- and abrasion resistance, and low haze development after abrasion. In addition, it does not contain intentionally added organic tin compounds, heavy metals or quinones. It is used in coatings for paper, paperboard, wood, rigid plastics and film substrates.

Photomer® 6643 distributed by DKSH is a di-functional aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer. It exhibits good abrasion resistance, non-yellowing, excellent flexibility and elongation. It is recommended for flexible and plastic coatings. It has a shelf life of 6 months. Photomer® 6643 is available in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and France.
