Röhm announced the successful start of production at its new Bay City (Texas, USA) plant, implementing its proprietary C2-based LiMA technology on a large industrial scale. Once in full production, the Röhm Bay City plant will produce 250,000 metric tons of MMA annually while delivering several very tangible benefits - the new technology is based on the raw materials ethylene, natural gas and methanol and enables higher product yield, lower energy consumption and reduced water and waste impact compared to traditional production routes.
