MERACRYL® HEMA 98 by Roehm is 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. It is a functional monomer based on hydroxyester that can copolymerize with other monomers to produce copolymers with a hydroxy group in the side chain. It provides permanent marring and solvent resistance, high gloss retention and weatherability. It has a shelf life of 6 months. MERACRYL® HEMA 98 is registered in REACH.
DEGALAN® 1001 F by Roehm is an environment-friendly, thermoplastic methacrylic resin. It is used as a binder for manufacturing halogen-free plastisols for underbody sealants in the automobile industry and for spot-welding pastes. It shows weather resistance, colorfastness, high brilliance and scratch resistance. DEGALAN® 1001 F provides gel at low temperatures, heat-stability and no discoloration at high temperatures and good sound insulation properties. It shows resistance towards UV light and weathering.
DEGALAN® 4032 D by Roehm is an environmentally friendly, water-based, thermoplastic methacrylic resin. It is used as an aqueous binder for sealing polystyrene/PVC for food packaging. DEGALAN® 4032 D shows colorfastness, high brilliance, weather- and scratch resistance.
