GLYOXAL 40% by Onichem Specialities acts as a cross-linking agent in the production of permanent press resins for textiles, in the production of moisture resistant glues and adhesives as well as moisture resistant foundry binders. It improves the wet strength of paper and the moisture resistance of leather. It is also used as a dispersant and solubilizer for water soluble polymers such as carboxy methyl cellulose and cellulose ethers.
