Elvacite® 2044 by Mitsubishi Chemical is an n-butyl methacrylate polymer. It plasticizes and improves adhesion of harder butyl grades such as Elvacite® 2045 and Elvacite® 2046 and nitrocellulose. It possesses compatibility with plasticizers & alkyd-, cellulosic-, epoxy-, vinyl chloride- and rosin resins. It is softest & most flexible bead grade. It is used in adhesives for smooth plastic films and aluminum. Elvacite® 2044 complies with FDA, TSCA, DSL, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS, EINECS/ ELINCS and IECSC. Elvacite® 2045 by Mitsubishi Chemical is an iso-butyl methacrylate resin. It exhibits high molecular weight and re-solubility. It possesses compatibility with alkyd-, cellulosic-, epoxy-, vinyl chloride- & rosin resins and plasticizers. It is hardest of the weak-solvent-soluble butyl grades but softer than Elvacite® 2042 and Elvacite® 2043. Elvacite® 2045 complies with FDA, TSCA, DSL, EINECS, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS and IECSC. Elvacite® 2550 by Mitsubishi Chemical is a soft methacrylate copolymer resin. It exhibits good flexibility and medium molecular weight. It provides excellent adhesion to metal surfaces. It possesses compatibility with plasticizers and alkyd-, cellulosic-, epoxy-, vinyl chloride- and rosin resins. Elvacite® 2550 complies with FDA, TSCA, DSL, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS and IECSC. Acrylic resin based on ethyl methacrylate. It is a tough, alcohol – tolerant and broadly compatible polymer. Possesses compatibility with alkyd-, cellulosic-, epoxy-, rosin- and vinyl chloride resins. Also compatible with plasticizers. Used in wood putties. Complies with FDA. Acrylic resin based on iso-butyl methacrylate. It exhibits good compatibility with a wide range of short-, medium- and long oil alkyds. Provides improvement in color, color stability and pigment dispersion. Enhances weatherability. Shows solubility in various solvents like toluene, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone and dimethyl carbonate. Used in viscosity modification of adhesives. Complies with FDA, TSCA, DSL, EINECS, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS and IECSC. Poly (methyl methacrylate/ n-butyl methacrylate copolymer). It exhibits fast dissolution, low viscosity, superior transparency, high gloss, excellent hardness, resistance to UV discoloration and eco-friendliness (low hazard). Possesses compatibility with alkyd-, cellulosic-, epoxy-, vinyl chloride- and rosin resins. Also compatible with plasticizers. Complies with FDA, TSCA, DSL, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS and IECSC. Methyl methacrylate/ n-butyl methacrylate copolymer. It exhibits low molecular weight, fast dissolution, higher solids capability and low viscosity. Complies with TSCA, DSL, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS and IECSC. Methyl methacrylate copolymer. It is solvent-free. Exhibits hydroxyl functionality, medium molecular weight and strength. Provides flexibility, hardness and outdoor durability. Offers superior chemical- and UV resistance. May be used as the main binder in acrylic systems or blended with other resins to improve weather resistance and clarity. Applications are environmentally sound thermosetting adhesives. Complies with TSCA, DSL, AICS, IECSC and EINECS. Elvacite® 4402 by Lucite is a methyl methacrylate copolymer. It is free of solvents. At greater solid levels, it demonstrates hydroxyl functionality, a low molecular weight, and low viscosity. It offers pliability, toughness, and weather resistance. Superior chemical and UV protection is provided. It can be combined with other resins to increase weather resistance and clarity or utilized as the primary binder in acrylic systems. Elvacite® 4402 applications are thermosetting adhesives that are environmentally friendly. It is TSCA and EINECS compliant. Methyl methacrylate/ n-butyl methacrylate copolymer. It exhibits low VOC, low viscosity and low molecular weight. Possesses compatibility with alkyd-, cellulosic-, epoxy-, vinyl chloride- and rosin resins. Also compatible with plasticizers. Complies with FDA, TSCA, DSL, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS and IECSC.
