DINM acts as plasticizer. It is clear, colorless oily liquid with characteristic "ester" odor, is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. It is an unsaturated reactive ester which copolymerizes with vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, acrylates, and styrene. DINM is used in adhesives.
