Methacroyloxyethyl phthalate (HEMA phthalate). It is an aromatic, carboxylic acid-containing monomer which lends itself to many adhesive applications where functionality of a methacrylate is needed. Used in anaerobic adhesive applications. Complies with TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act), DSL (Canadian Domestic Substances List), EINECS (European Inventory of Existing Commercial Chemical Substances) and Food and Drug Administration's 21 CFR.
