Tyzor® 217

Tyzor® 217 by Dorf Ketal is an aqueous solution of zirconium lactate, and sodium salt. It acts as an adhesion promoter, as cure catalysts, and an effective crosslinking agent. It is a water-based zirconium chelate that is stable in the water near neutral pH. It can react with a variety of nucleophilic species such as -OH and -COOH groups. It helps in crosslinking carbohydrates (e.g., cellulose, starch, and guar) and other functionalized polymers (e.g., polyvinyl alcohol). Tyzor® 217 is used in water-based adhesives such as epoxy, polyurethane, and polyvinyl acetate.

Tyzor® TE

Triethanolamine titanium complex. It has 80% active ingredient in alcohol solvent. Acts as a catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. It is stable to moisture. It has moderate to fast reaction rate, low toxicity, provides high yield, easy work-up at low catalyst concentration. Used in esterification, transesterification, condensation and addition reactions. It is especially well suited to direct esterification processes due to its excellent compatibility with the water byproduct. It can be used in polysulfide and acrylic (water-based).

Tyzor® IBAY

Titanium ethyl acetoacetate complex. Acts as a catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. It is low in toxicity, produces high yields, can be used at low concentrations and is easy to work. Its high reactivity at low temperatures enables it to react with common functional groups such as R-OH, M-OH, Si-OH and R-COOH for crosslinking, adhesion promotion and coating formation on polymers, mineral substrates and metals. Used in processes such as esterification, transesterification, addition, polycondensation and similar reactions. Also used in room-temperature-vulcanizing one-component (RTV-1) silicone sealants and acrylic (solvent-based) system.

Tyzor® TPT

Tetra-isopropyl titanate. It is a 100% active, highly reactive organic alkoxy titanate. Acts as a catalyst and as an adhesion promoter. It has fast cure rate and is reactive to moisture. It increases yield, provides easier work up at low concentration. Used as a Lewis acid catalyst in processes such as esterification, transesterification, condensation, addition, polymerizations and similar reactions. Used in Ziegler-Natta catalysis for olefin polymerization. It can be used in natural rubber system.
