Andisil® XL by AB Specialty Silicones is a series of 11 reactive silicon-hydride-containing polysiloxanes that can be used in addition-cure systems with Andisil VS polymers or Andisil Reactive Methyl Phenyl polymers and an Andisil platinum catalyst. They are available in various viscosities (from 2.5 cSt to 500 cSt) and silicon-hydride contents (from 0.95 mmoles/gm to 8.60 mmoles/gm). Andisil® 187 Silane by AB Specialty Silicones is epoxy functional silane used as a coupling agent for unsaturated polyester-fiberglass composites and for polysulfide/polyurethane caulks & sealants. It is used as an adhesion promoter in waterborne acrylic sealants. It enhances the wet electrical properties of epoxy-based encapsulate and packaging materials. It eliminates the need for a separate primer in polysulfide and urethane sealants. Andisil® 187 Silane has a shelf life of 2 years. Andisil® MOS by AB Specialty Silicones is a crosslinking agent. It is a liquid raw material used for neutral condensation curing silicone sealants. In the presence of a (tin) catalyst, this silane react with hydroxy-functional silicone polymers. Its exposure to moisture results in the formation of crosslinked, elastomeric silicones. In contrast to acidic or basic curing systems, no acidic acid or amine, but 2-butanone oxime is liberated during application. Due to the neutral character of 2-butanone oxime, sealants based on Andisil® MOS can be applied even on (corrosion) sensitive substrates like metals or marble. It has a shelf life of 1 year. Andisil® 171 Silane by AB Specialty Silicones functioning as a crosslinking agent, adhesion promoter and/or surface modifier. It has dual nature of its reactivity allows it to bind chemically to both inorganic materials (e.g. glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (e.g. thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers). It provides superior elongation, flexibility, and spreading at the interface as a coupling agent. It improves adhesion between glass, mineral & metal surfaces and amino reactive resins. It enhances adhesion while maintaining good shelf stability as an additive to waterborne systems. It is applicable in water-based adhesives and sealants. Andisil® 171 Silane has a shelf life of 2 years. Andisil® MT 9010 by AB Specialty Silicones is a crosslinking agent. Andisil® 142 Silane by AB Specialty Silicones is alcohol-free siloxane significantly improves the adhesion and coupling between organic resins and inorganic surfaces. It is an aqueous solution of an aminoalkyl siloxane. It is most often used in aqueous systems where the alcohol from hydrolysis causes instability of the formulation or where a high flash point additive is required. It also reduces volatile organic content (VOC) and does not contain hazardous air polluting substances (HAPS). These benefits are particularly useful to manufacturers seeking to decrease emissions from their water-borne products and processes. In amino functionality, it reacts with many types of resins including vinyl and acrylic latexes, epoxies and phenolics. It promotes bonding to many inorganic materials. In silanol functionality, it adheres or couples with inorganic materials, such as siliceous fillers, glass and metal substrates. It is also used as an additive for water-soluble/dispersible resin formulations or as a surface treatment. It is applicable in water-based adhesives and sealant applications. Andisil® 142 Silane has a shelf life of 2 years. Andisil® 174 Silane by AB Specialty Silicones is methacryl-functional silane is used as an adhesion promoter at organic/inorganic interfaces, as a surface modifier (e.g. imparting water repellency, organophilic surface adjustment), or as a crosslinker of polymers. It improves strength as glass fiber size composite in reinforced polyester composites. It enhances the initial and wet strength of reinforced polyester resin composites. It is used as a coupling agent to improve the physical and electrical properties of glass-reinforced and mineral-filled thermosetting resins under exposure to heat and/or moisture. It is a crosslink acrylic type resins enhancing adhesion and durability of adhesives. Blend additive in resin systems that cure via a free radical mechanism (e.g. polyester, acrylic) and in filled or reinforced thermoplastic polymers, including polyolefins and polyurethanes. Andisil® 174 Silane has a shelf life of 2 years. Andisil® HMDZ by AB Specialty Silicones can be utilized as a protecting agent for OH and SH functionality. It can be used as a hydrophobic agent for inorganic fillers. It is available in a clear, colorless liquid form. Andisil® HMDZ is suitable for adhesives and sealant applications. Andisil® 1110 Silane by AB Specialty Silicones is amino-functional silane coupling agent used over a broad range of applications to provide superior bonds between inorganic substrates and organic polymers, especially for fiberglass reinforced composites. It also functions as a superior adhesion promoter in RTV silicones, other hybrid sealants and SPUR technology particularly for difficult substrates such as ABC, PVC and polystyrene. It is a useful component in primer systems for hybrid and polyurethane sealants. Andisil® 1110 Silane has a shelf life of 2 years. Andisil® 1122 Silane by AB Specialty Silicones is diamine functional silane that finds use as a coupling agent providing superior elongation, flexibility and spreading at the interface of polymers. It is used to promote adhesion between resins that react with amino groups and the surfaces of glass, minerals and metal. It is suitable for butyl, polyurethane (2K), cellulosic, PVB, epoxy, silylated polyether, silylated polyurethane, nulamine, silicone, nitrocellulose, polyamide and polyether. It is applicable in adhesives and sealants. Andisil® 1122 Silane has a shelf life of 2 years.
