PowerSorb™ 1000 by TinToll (PCC Group) is a 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-p-cresol-based UV absorber. It imparts good light stability and is available in slightly yellowish colored crystalline powder form. It shows compatibility with styrene homo and copolymers, engineering plastics such as polyesters and acrylic resins, polyvinyl chloride, and other halogen containing polymers and copolymers like vinylidenes, acetals and cellulose esters. It is soluble in dioctyl phthalate, benzene, carbitol, n-hexane, ethanol, ethyl acetate, dichloromethane, methyl methacrylate and styrene. PowerSorb™ 1000 is also suitable for elastomers, polycarbonate blends, polyurethanes, epoxy and some cellulose esters. Recommended for adhesive application.
