Abitol™ E by Synthomer is a high molecular weight, balsamic, low odor, highly viscous tackifier resin. Exhibits high refractive index, excellent aging characteristics and reactive functionality. Compatible with nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose, melamine- and urea-formaldehyde resins, polyethylene, shellac and carnauba wax. Shows limited compatiblity with casein, polymethyl methacrylate, polyvinyl acetate chloride, polyvinyl butyral, natural and synthetic rubber. Designed for adhesives, case & carton sealing closings, bookbinding and non-food contact labels. Abitol™ E is also applicable for packaging & specialty tape and non-food contact tapes.
