A-C® 925P by Solstice Advanced Materials is a propylene maleic anhydride copolymer grade. Used in sealants, hot melt, metallocene ethylene octene (MEO) copolymers and amorphous poly-olefin (APAO)-based adhesives. Designed for aqueous adhesive applications. Acts as adhesion promoters even in cold temperature and shows increased heat resistance and prevents oil migration. It is compatible with PA, exhibiting excellent thermal and color stability due to their low levels of ungrafted oligomeric maleic anhydride. A-C® 925P is recommended for packaging, wood-working and constructions. The functionalization of a non-polar polypropylene with maleic anhydride provides the low molecular weight copolymer with non-polar and polar characteristics, producing adhesion and tack to traditional polar surfaces such as steel, aluminum or glass and also to difficult surfaces such as vinyl and polypropylene.
