KBP 44

KBP 44 by Shin-Etsu is isocyanate silane-based coupling agent. The individual molecules of silane coupling agent contain two types of reactive functional groups that are isocyanate group and alkoxy group characterized by different reactivity thus bonding with both organic and inorganic materials.

• It improves desirable qualities such as mechanical strength, moisture, chemical resistance, and electrical properties.
• It acts as a sort of intermediary which bonds organic materials to inorganic materials.
• It is extensively used in adhesives to improve adhesion.
• KBP 44 has applications in encapsulates.
