Alcogum® 6940 by Nouryon is a sodium polyacrylate rheology modifier. It provides stable viscosity over a broad pH range. It offers resistance to biological degradation. It is used to thicken styrene-butadiene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, neoprene, acrylic, vinyl acetate and ethylene-vinyl acetate latex compounds. It is suitable for natural and synthetic latexes for a wide variety of applications. Alcogum® 6940 is applicable for non-woven, adhesive formulations and carpet backing.
