TAFIGEL® PUR 44 by Munzing is non-ionic polyurethane in butyltriglycol/water. It acts as rheology modifier. Its associative thickening effect can be affected by many factors including binder type, co-solvents, coalescing agents, surfactants, wetting agents, pigments and flattening agents. TAFIGEL® PUR 44 interaction with these compounds allows varied possibilities for rheology adjustment.
  • It can be added undiluted to the grind and before adding the binder.
  • It builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and pigment particles.
  • Used in aqueous systems and joint fillers.
  • Recommended dosage ranges from 0.3-2%.
