Polybutene-1 DP 8510 by LyondellBasell is a dispersible, random copolymer of butene-1 with high ethylene content. It is used as a blend component in hot melt adhesives (HMA) formulations and sealant compounds. It exhibits increased open time and maintains mechanical integrity at higher temperatures. It is suitable for combination with a wide variety of non-polar resins and waxes. It provides good abrasion- and chemical resistance, flexibility and toughness. Polybutene-1 DP 8510 offers high compatibility with polypropylene.
