HYPOX® RA840 by Huntsman is a high viscosity adduct of the diglycidyl ether of Bisphenol A (DGEBA) and a butadiene acrylonitrile (CTBN) elastomer. It acts as a toughener. It improves the toughness, impact, thermal shock and peel resistance. It can be blended with other epoxy resins to achieve the degree of toughening required. HYPOX® RA840 is used in automotive mastic and general industrial adhesives.
