KALAR® 5275 by H.B. Fuller is a partially cross-linked butyl rubber compound pelletized for easy handling. It is designed as the starting point for applications that require the maximum resistance to creep and slump. It provides good resistance to flow at high temperatures. It requires no vulcanization and is readily acceptable in a wide range of solvents. This product extends with high levels of fillers and plasticizers. It is compatible with a wide choice of compounding ingredients. It offers creep- & cold-flow resistance and compounding economy. KALAR® 5275 is used in industrial sealant-, architectural glazing-, automotive windshield tape, and automotive sealant & sound deadening compound. It is suitable for tire sealant, high-strength thermoplastic mastic, weather-proofing sealant tape, hot-melt glazing compounds, solvent release adhesives, caulks and construction adhesives. The shelf life of this grade is 1 year.
