Surfynol® AS 5060 by Evonik is a low-foam, dynamic wetting agent based on patented Gemini surfactant technology. It is a 100% active, easy-to handle liquid that contains no added alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). It is suitable for broad range of water-based systems. It is stable in hard water and contributes no VOCs per European and US2 regulations. It provides surface tension reduction and foam-free dynamic wetting with improved solubility. Its advantages include no phase separation and no negative effect on water resistance. Surfynol® AS 5060 is used in pigment dispersions, flexible food packaging adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives. Its recommended usage is between 0.1 and 1.0% of total formulation weight. It is in compliance with food contact regulations of US, Europe and Asia. It has a shelf life of 60 months.
