AMICURE® 1400B by Evonik is a micronized grade of dicyandiamide. It is used as a latent curing agent for epoxy resins. It contains 3-4% of an inert flow control additive to inhibit clumping and improve handling.
- Exhibits finest particle size and can be easily dispersed in liquid resins.
- Offers shelf stability of up to 6 months at 25°C in properly formulated systems.
- Its activation temperature can be varied easily from 180°C to 95°C with appropriate accelerator selection.
- AMICURE® 1400B is suitable for structural and one-component adhesive applications.
- Recommended use level is 4-15 phr with Bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (EEW=190).
- It has a shelf life of 24 months.
